Our Aztec Gold arrived in a plain brown
package, with absolutely no hint on it's exterior as to what the package
contained inside-something that's very important for us stoners ordering
things via mail.
I have to admit, when I first opened
up the  package
and handled a whole ounce of sweet-looking herb just delivered to me in
the mail, it felt kinda strange-but a good strange-almost like I had just
done something illegal. It made me wish the real thing were this damned
easy to get. Nonetheless, nothing illegal about this herbal smoke, and
I opened that baby up right away.
A lot of people want to know in black
and white whether herbal smoke works or not. However, I'm
going to preface this review by stating that as with any substance, it's
effects can be much different for each person. Just as with marijuana,
some people get high off of one hit, while others need 5 to cop a buzz,
while still others get hardly no effect at all. It all depends on your
body's chemistry and tolerances, so there's really no black and white answer
to this question. You may just have to try some for yourself and see what
happens.
Aztec Gold is made from Capillaris
Herba, a legendary and very popular herbal smoke. The herbs were nice and
light right out of the pouch and had a quite appealing smell...not exactly
like pot of course, but in the same genre of funky good smells. They packed
into my pipe nicely and lit right up without having to break out the blowtorch
to get a good glow going. The taste was very light with a nice smoke aroma.
It wasn't too harsh and inhaled nicely. I also tried some in a water bong
and naturally, the hit was much smoother-as a bong always provides-and
allowed me to hold it longer.
I consumed my normal toke and felt
a buzz working up several minutes later. Trying to describe a buzz is very
difficult, but it was similar to marijuana, but yet, distinctly different.
Wasn't quite as overwhelming as marijuana can be sometimes and a little
mellower. You could definitely have a good time with some Aztec Gold; the
price is a LOT better than the real stuff-and it's legal to boot.
I started to experiment with it a
bit and found that Aztec Gold is a great way to stretch your smoke. A mix
of 50/50 seems to do a nice job, giving you great effects from both herbs
at once. You can expiriment yourself and change the mixture to suit your
tastes. So, if you're having a party and inviting over some notorious moochers,
mix in a little Aztec (but you should always tell peeps whenever
you mix or add anything to your smoke)-and ensure you have something
left to smoke the next night.
