-
One fat bodied
ball point pen.
-
Some super glue
-
A pair of scissors
-
A paper towel
|
 |
-
First, get a hold
of a fat bodied pen. The kind with screw off barrels and replaceable cartridges
is what you're looking for. Try to find one with a fixed tip and removable
cap. In other words, not a retractable tip. Typically, these are fancy
pens, which are made out of metal, but many similar-and cheaper ones produced
from plastic can be found at your local store.
-
Next, unscrew
the pen body and remove the ink cartridge. You should now have four pieces:
The pen barrel, the ink cartridge, the cap and the pen tip.
-
Place the ink
cartrige back into the tip of the pen so it protrudes normally and hold
it there.
-
Now take your
scissors and cut the ink cartridge off flush with the bottom of the pen
tip. This is where the paper towel may come in handy-careful with
the ink!
-
Depending on the
size of your pen vs. the length of your joint, you may have to cut the
ink cartridge even shorter so your joint will fit inside once everything
is screwed back together.
-
Test fit a joint
first. Cut the ink cartridge shorter if necessary.
-
Next, get out
your super glue (gel form works best) and place a liberal amount just below
the tip of the ink cartridge. Quickly insert it into the pen tip and press
firmly for 30 seconds, until the glue dries. If you've cut your ink cartridge
shorter than flush with the end of the pen tip, you may have to use a pencil
or similar instrument to press and hold the ink cartridge until the glue
dries.
-
Roll yourself
up a doob. Depending on the size of your pen cavity, you may have to roll
it slightly thinner and/or shorter than normal.
-
Place the doob
inside the pen and screw on the pen tip and replace the cap. You're done!
-
The pen should
even continue to write for sometime, however, don't place a lot of pressure
on the tip when writing, or the ink cartridge may get dislodged.
